The Guiding Principles for short term accommodation renters are:
- The premises that you are occupying is a home.
- Treat the premise as your own.
- Respect your neighbors.
- Leave it as you find it.
- The maximum number of occupants within this dwelling that is being operated as a short term rental accommodation shall not exceed 14 occupants.
- No person shall make noise so as to cause a disturbance or conduct themselves in an antisocial behaviour. Examples of noise that is deemed to be a disturbance include: Loud music, Outdoor or backyard gatherings involving excessive noise, Late or early hour disturbances, Yelling, shouting, hooting or other boisterous activity, No fireworks on the premises at any time
- Please dispose of all garbage in the bins provided at the side of the cottage.
- Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and maintenance or inspection if an issue arises or anything is broken and needs to be replaced.
- Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner and will give enough notice to the guests.
- Guest is to have their own homeowner insurance policy prior to renting for damages exceeding the $1500 damage deposit.
- No smoking or vaping in the lodges or will result up to $500 cleaning fee for professional cleaning service.
- Smoking/Vaping is only permitted outside in the designated spaces.
- The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities.
- The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
- Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
- Only use appliances for their intended uses.
- Landscaping – our landscapers come once every 1 to 2 weeks for an hour to cut the grass so you can enjoy a well-maintained lawn. Please allow them to work around you.
- The house is equipped with the latest smoke and CO2 detectors. Do not tamper or disable any fire alarm equipment.
- The house is also equipped with fire extinguishers which are to be used only for their intended use.
- Fire pit: - the fire pit is accessible for your enjoyment if used responsibly. It is guest responsibility to check if there is a fire ban in effect. Guests are to supply their own fire wood.
- Water and Septic: - the property is on a well and septic systems. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $500 depending on plumbers invoice
- Watercrafts on the property - there is a kayak, a canoes, which guests hereby agree to accept liability for any lost or damaged equipment if used.
- Guests agree to pay Homeowner the cost incurred in repairing or replacing the equipment.
- Guests understands that equipment and safety devices are provided for use (such as flotation devices, etc.).
- Guests agree they will be solely responsible for proper use of safety and other equipment and procedures, and only adults will operate any equipment.
- Guests accept all liability for any injury that may occur while using any of the equipment regardless of its condition.
- By accepting this booking guests understand that they are waiving their right, their estate and heirs right to bring a court action to recover compensation or to obtain any other remedy for any injury to self, including death, however caused, arising out of use of equipment.
- Guests understand that there are inherent risks associated with water sports.
- Pets are permitted only with prior approval. Additional $169.50 ($150 + HST) fee applies with pets. Guest shall provide the following information. Type of pet. Weight of pet. Age of pet. Sex of pet. Is the pet crate trained and will you be bringing your crate with you? Guest is responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time.
- No one is to cause damage to premises or furnishings. If damages are caused, the cost of the damage may be deducted from security deposit.
- Please respect the neighbours.
- You are more than welcome to enjoy a campfire. but no excessive noise.
- No fireworks.
- Although the area is spacious and most bluetooth speakers have a reasonable sound and would probably not cause any complaints, all we ask is to turn it down at night. Please respect the neighbors.
- Enjoy the use of the facilities and all amenities. All we ask is to put everything back where you found it. Cleaning fee is for helping keep the cottage clean for the next guests. We mop the floors and wash the sheets and clean the washrooms and toilets and dust the entire cottage. Cleaning fee does not mean we will clean up after the pots and pans and dishes, cups and mugs you use. Additional fees will apply.
- We will not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities.
- The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Only use appliances for their intended use The damage deposit is held for damages made to the property and shall be refunded within a few days of the Checkout Date provided there is:
- No damage to the property or furnishings.
- No dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning.
- any other cost incurred by Homeowner due to Guest’s stay.
If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately
